KEEP FIGHTING
PICA Salon: Epic Narratives
2015
Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts
A part of the group exhibition PICA Salon: Epic Narratives, Keep Fighting was a large scale wall mural adorned with five paintings on wooden canvases resembling flags, shields and banners. Brightly coloured and decorative, the shapes of the canvases were drawn from archival images of protests and parades. Filled with joyous, proud and defiant marks, this work was activated with a performance that saw the artists enact a tiny parade through the gallery. An ongoing project, Tiny Parades is a series of one-off performances in which the pair have taken to the streets of Perth, each time championing different human-sized struggles and joys.
